题目: Collaborative Research on Big Data Science for Everyone
演讲者: Prof. Jian Pei, Simon Fraser University
Abstract: I would like to argue that the core message in this Big Data era is the unprecedented feasibility of connecting Big Data with many people, virtually everyone. A particularly interesting aspect is that Big Data analytics allows in-depth egocentric analysis. In this talk, I will introduce our recent progress in turning egocentric analysis into business solutions, particularly in health informatics. Our recently founded Pacific Blue Cross Health Informatics Laboratory, an industry sponsored research lab, was highlighted by Globe and I find critical.
